- Almost Three Million Dollars in Scholarships and Grants

- Fourteen seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Football Team: Two seniors All Region; One senior Region Player of the Year and Mr. Football Finalist;
- One senior selected Charles W. Hawkins III High School Scholar-Athlete
- Three seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Boys Golf Team: One senior Region Champion, All Midstate, and All State
- Three seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Girls Soccer Team: Region Champions; Two seniors All Region; One senior All State
- Three seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Boys Basketball Team: One senior All Region
- Three seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Boys Hockey Team: One senior All Star
- One senior on 2009-2010 Varsity Wrestling Team: Team 3rd in State Duals; One senior All Midstate
- Two seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Baseball Team: One senior named All Region
- Two seniors on 2009-2010 Varsity Softball Team: One senior All Region
- Four seniors will play collegiate sports.
Scholarship
- One senior named a National Merit Finalist this week; two National Merit Commended Scholars.
- One senior named a “Bootstraps Award Winner.”
- Four FRA journalism students were honored at the Tennessee High School Press Association (THSPA) Awards Ceremony for Panther Tales, our online student newspaper.
- An Upper School student performed in the Regional English Speaking Union Shakespeare Competition at Belmont University.
- Over the past six years, FRA graduating classes, with approximately 70 students per class, have earned an average of $3 million dollars in scholarships.
Balance
- ARTS:
- The FRA Jazz Ensemble and Jazz Combo participated on the national stage at Disney Jazz Celebration 2010 in Orlando, Florida, receiving a rating of Superior and received the Best in Class award.
- FRA's Vocal Ensemble, the Upper School's auditioned choir scored a Superior in Performance and a Superior in Sight-Singing in Regional Adjudication, qualifying them to compete at the MTVA State Adjudication Festival in April. The Vocal Ensemble went on to earn a Superior at State Adjudication.
- One of our tenor saxophonists has earned placement as 1st chair, All-State Jazz Band after earning a spot as 1st chair in Mid-State Jazz Band.
- Outstanding yearly productions of: 2nd Grade Christmas Musical, Cocoa & Carols, Christmas Band and Choir Concerts, 4th Grade Variety Show, ~ An Evening with the Arts ~, Fall Drama or A Bad Year for Tomatoes; MS play, Seussical, Junior; Spring Musical is Little Women, and of course, our traditional Grandparents Day will be performed in May.
- ATHLETICS:
- Franklin Road Academy's 2009 football team earned a home playoff game.
- Our boys and girls golf teams had very impressive records and both competed in the state tournament.
- The girls soccer team won the Region Championship and finished in the elite eight of the state.
- FRA Wrestling Team finished Third at State; One US wrestler finished third at state.
- The Franklin Road Academy Girls Basketball Team had a great year, finishing as state runners-up at the Division II, Class A state championship game.
- The FRA varsity cheerleading squad was award The Sportsmanship Award presented by the TSSAA.
- Individually recognitions for FRA student-athletes this year include:
- An 8th grader captured the HVAC individual Boys Golf Championship.
- A senior football player selected as a Charles W. Hawkins III High School Scholar-Athlete.
- Three student-athletes from fall sports received All State honors while representing Franklin Road Academy's athletic programs: one in soccer, one in football, one in golf. Two of these athletes have signed to play DI collegiate athletics.
- One Hockey Player was selected to All-Star Team South squad as defenseman.
- Three members of the FRA Girls Basketball Team named to the All State Tournament Team.
- A member of the girls basketball team was selected as the 2010 Miss Basketball Award and was just named “Best Freshmen” by the Nashville City Paper.
Integrity
- Over 3 dozen US students and teachers spent Interim on a Mission Trip to New Orleans
- Gram Gilbert Special Olympics Game Day was held in the fall and spring on our campus.
- Prom Fashion Fundraiser Show this week to benefit a local charity
- Highland Games and Track Relays celebrates the 12th Anniversary of supporting a local charity this weekend. This event has raised a total over $22,000 for charities in its history.
- Over the last three years, FRA seniors have performed an average of 3600 hours of community service.
