FRA is a not simply another independent school on the Nashville landscape, but rather, it is a community of students, parents, and teachers uniting in the pursuit of knowledge, athletic competition, fine arts expression, spiritual growth and mutual support. FRA is truly a special place, and I am humbled by the opportunity to lead in the Middle School division. The middle years are an important time of personal, emotional, and social development as students are discovering their individual gifts and how they connect with the community at large. Our dedicated and experienced faculty and staff work relentlessly to ensure that each student meets his or her potential and enjoys the full benefit of an FRA education.

We offer a rigorous, college preparatory academic program that is intentionally structured to address the developmental needs of students from 5^th through 8^th grades in all of the traditional disciplines. One of the highlights of our program is our newly adopted Humanities Department that will emphasize the integration of English, Literature, and History. Another exciting development in our program for the 2011-2012 school year is the full implementation of our mission-based advisory program that will assist students in their personal development and aid them in accomplishing their overall goals. Over the course of the four years in Middle School, our students will have the opportunity to take enrichment courses in Exago (Christian Leadership), Art, Band, Vocal Music, Theatre, and Bible. Additionally, we participate in four athletic seasons during the school year, providing opportunities for all of our students to compete in a full range of middle school athletics.
