Over the past several years the FRA softball program has enjoyed a great deal of success. Even though we compete in a tough district, that has produced 15 out of the past 20 state champions; the Panthers have held their own. The girls have had great success in recent years, making regional appearances in 3 out of the past 5 years and finishing third in the state in 2004. The program has produced a number of division I collegiate players, the most recent are playing for Yale and Dayton Universities.
FRA also fields a competitive middle school team in addition to the varsity squad. It is hoped that each player will work hard, play with intensity and strive to be a better player each day while living up to our team motto of “Get Dirticated”.
Preseason conditioning begins shortly after the Christmas Break, with the preseason starting in mid-February and the regular season begins in mid-March and runs through the first of May. Girls are encouraged to play travel or rec ball in the summer, and younger players are welcome to attend FRA’s summer softball camp.
