When requesting technical support, please

Reboot
Often just shutting a system down and restarting it will take care of problems. We will probably ask you to do this anyway.
Check the Cables
There is no embarrassment equal to calling for support and finding out that power was unplugged. Make sure your wireless card is on.
Describe the Problem
Describe the problem in detail. When I turn my computer on I get all these pop-up windows that start by themselves. Don't try to diagnose the problem.
Be Honest
If you spilled something, dropped something, accidentally deleted something, or installed something you shouldn't have, please tell us. We can get things working much faster if you tell us exactly what happened.
Be Detailed
If you get an error message, please report exactly what it says. Tell us if you have recently installed, updated, unplugged, moved a program, or otherwise changed your system.
