There is a lot you can learn about a college or university from web pages and printed admissions materials, however campus visits are critical in the process of choosing just the right place for you. Informal visits to college campuses can be informative anytime. The most productive campus visits occur toward the end of the junior year and the beginning semester of the senior year when the college semester is in session. During this time you will be forming your "short list" of colleges or making your selection from that list.
FRA Juniors are allowed two excused absences during the spring semester for college visits. FRA Seniors are allowed two excused absences during both the fall and the spring semesters for college visits. All students are to bring admissions materials from the college(s) visited to the Upper School Office upon returning to school.
