Dear Parents and Camper:
Hello! School is almost out and camp time is here. We look forward to a fun-filled summer at
Franklin Road Academy. The following information should be of help as you prepare for camp.
1. All campers must go to the registrar every Monday before going to any camp. The registrar will be located in the Lower School Gym. The registrar will verify that your camper has registered and paid for the week.
Parents, when you take your child to camp, please check the table next to the registrar's table to see if you will need to sign a field trip permission slip for the week. Each week we will either have special guests come to our school or will venture off campus for a field trip. You must sign a permission slip on Monday for your child to participate in field trips.
2. Arrival and Departure:
Drop off will be in front of the Lower School Tuesday – Friday of each week. If an enrichment is held in the Middle School, counselors will meet campers in front of the Middle School. Please do not leave your camper if you don’t see a counselor.
Camp begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. (Campers who are not registered for Before Camp may arrive any time after 8:45 am.) **Please make every effort to be on time for camps as doors remain locked during the day. Please notify us if your child will be absent or arrive after 9:00 a.m. as we do not want to leave someone behind if we go on a field trip. Camp dismisses at 3:00 p.m. Campers who are registered for extended hours may arrive the Lower School Gym 7:00 a.m .and/or stay until 6:00 p.m.
Campers who leave 3:00 p.m. are to be picked up in front of the Lower School at 3:00 with the exception of those campers participating in camps in the Middle School building.In case of heavy rain, students will be dismissed from the classroom located on the far end of the lower school building (kindergarten area). Camps being held in the Middle School will still dismiss from the Middle School building.
3. Lunch is included in the cost of Themed Camps and Kindy Camps(11:30-3:00). Other campers may purchase lunch when they register or on-line at a cost of $25.00 per week. **Please see the cafeteria manager if your child has any food allergies.
Some campers go to an enrichment/sport in the morning and another enrichment/sport in the afternoon. I will indicate on the roll that the counselor bring those campers to the cafeteria for lunch. At 12:30 I will take campers to their afternoon enrichment. If you plan to pick up your child for lunch, please let me know prior to the camp date.

Tennis shoes are the best footwear for camp activities.
5.
Mornings begin with devotionals and group games. Morning and afternoon camps
include three sessions per day along with large group activity time.
6. We seldom have discipline problems in the summer. However, if a camper is sent to the
director three times, the camper may be dismissed from camp and not allowed to continue
participating in other camps.
7. Phone Numbers: Please don’t hesitate to call us at 831-0769. If no one answers at
831-0769, we may be outside or on a field trip. If there is an emergency, please call 832-8933,
832-8845 or 533-5662 (only in emergency).

** A reminder that your camp balance will be charged via your account credit card the Thursday before the camp session unless we are notified.
**Cancellations must be received two weeks prior to the camp session, however, you will lose your deposit. Registrations not canceled will be charged the full amount via your account credit card on the Thursday prior to camp session.
